Hog Hunting Notice: We are not currently booking hog hunts between now and deer season. Our trapping and elimination efforts have reduced the hog numbers to a level where we can't guarantee good hunting. The hogs are still here, but we have decided to postpone commercial hog hunts for the time being. We'll let you know when we start booking them again.
In the fall of 1996, we found the first signs of wild hogs on Cedar Creek Plantation. It was said that they were released by a distant hunting club, but the hogs quickly found our property to their liking. We have found the hogs to be very resourceful. They could often be found waiting beneath a corn feeder or with their head buried in a trough full of soybeans. This year, they have taken to the soybeans and the cornfields that we had planted for the deer. As you can imagine, the hogs don't often make us happy. We responded to their rapid growth in numbers with trapping and persistent hunting. In the effort of trying to limit the damage done by the hogs, we have found that hunting them makes for a challenging and exciting hunt. We have come to realize that the hogs are here to stay. If you are interested in an exciting and affordable hunting experience, hog hunting at Cedar Creek Plantation is just what you need!
