Quail Hunting

At Cedar Creek Plantation, one of our favorite pastimes is spending the afternoon hunting bobwhite quail behind a fine bird dog.  We've managed our pasture lands and brush country to favor the habitat the quail need to thrive.  We have planted a mixture of cover crops for the quail, including grain sorghum, Egyptian wheat, and partridge peas.  We also maintain brushy areas along fence rows and streams to provide escape cover from predators.  Today the wild quail population is higher than any time in recent memory. 

 

• We offer half-day and full day hunts for the shooting enthusiast

• Birds will be released on the day of your hunt to ensure a quality hunt

• Hunters will be allowed 12 birds on a half day hunt and 20 birds for a full day hunt.

• Special hunting packages are available for the quail hunter.  You may combine a half day quail hunt with any of the other hunting opportunities at the Plantation. (Call for rates )

• We also offer a Golf/Quail package that includes a round of golf at Cambrian Ridge, the neighboring Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail course.  (Call for rates)

• Birds will be processed and packaged so they will be ready to go before you depart
